The director of 1997’s Blade Runner argues that that game was the first open world three-dimensional action adventure game.

Riot Games created and released League of Legends (LoL), a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game. With millions of active players and a competitive professional scene, it was first released in 2009 and has since grown to be among the most well-liked and lucrative games in the world.
