Here are listed all known Civilizations and Barbarian Tribes. Civilizations are playable, whereas Tribes are not. There are currently 8 Civilizations and 6 Tribes. Each Civilization is led by a Leader.
The events are generally well-written, making it easy to understand what’s going on and what your options are. More than once, I was asked to pick between something that would benefit the whole nation but upset one or more of the major noble families, or show a little favoritism to keep a potential rival from getting too rebellious. Palworld’s Sakurajima update was a huge boon that brought players back, but the long-term future of the game still remained uncertain.

Palworld was controversial when it was first announced and only got more controversial as time went on. AI controversies plagued Palworld’s early days, and recently Nintendo sued developer Pocketpair.
There are no player-versus-player elements at launch. Pocketpair is looking to make Palworld a more cooperative experience, at least during the early access period. Matters may change on this front in the future.
